The Big Water Dinosaur Festival is celebrating the many past and ongoing dinosaur fossil discoveries in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument and other areas surrounding Big Water, UT.

"The beauty of fishing so far from the beaten path is this: the fish see very limited pressure and will take nearly anything that draws their attention, although they can be finicky at times."

Friday October 24th will be the main push to move bison from the southern portion of the island to the handling facilities on the north end of the island. On Saturday, any bison left on the range will be moved to the handling facilities.

Bobcat hunting changes

Wildlife biologists are recommending changes that could result in more chances to take bobcats in Utah this fall. The recommendations would also result in hunters taking about the same number of cougars this season.

If you're a young person who has little or no experience hunting ducks and geese, the Division of Wildlife Resources has a deal for you — a free hunt guided by some of Utah's best waterfowl hunters.

On Aug. 2, the Division of Wildlife Resources will host its annual Goat Watch on the Tushar Mountains east of Beaver. The event is free.
