The Taxpayer Receipt is based on the State of Utah's 2015 Fiscal Year Budget and is only intended to provide a fair and reasonable estimate of how your tax dollars may be spent.

Individual income and sales taxes, after adjusting for earmarks, make-up about 85% of the State of Utah's FY 2015 General and Education Fund budget ($5.8 billion). These taxes make up about 40% of Utah’s FY 2015 budget from all sources ($13.5 billion).

The allocation of your taxes to various expenditure categories is based on the mix of sales and income taxes you paid and therefore may differ from the statewide allocation.
