Under the direction of President Barack Obama, Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert, has authorized all state agencies to lower the Flag of the United States of America and the Flag of the State of Utah on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 in recognition Senator Edward M. Kennedy. The flags shall be flown at half-staff on all state-owned facilities until sunset on August 30, 2009.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Lt. Governor Gary R. Herbert has directed Utah's Executive Water Task Force to study and make recommendations for the proper oversight of the state's 5,300 miles of canals.
