Terry Schow was appointed Executive Director of the Utah Department of Veterans Affairs by Governor Jon M Huntsman Jr. on July 1, 2007. Mr. Schow was appointed as the Director of the Utah Division of Veterans Affairs in October 2001 by Governor Michael O Leavitt. Mr. Schow is a U.S. Army veteran whose service includes the 5th and 10th Special Forces Groups and the 25th Infantry Division and a tour of duty in Southeast Asia. Mr. Schow has been active in veteran's affairs locally and nationally for more than twenty five years and has served as the State Commander of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Schow is a member of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Rural Health Advisory Committee and a member of the Small Business Administration Advisory Committee on Veterans Business Affairs. Mr. Schow is Past President of the National Association of State Directors of Veterans Affairs and serves on the Executive Committee.
