The project, located on 206,826 gas-producing acres in Uintah and Duchesne counties, includes 1,298 new gas wells on 575 well pads over a period of 15 years.

Salt Lake City - Today Lieutenant Governor Greg Bell announced the launch of the "Find My Caucus Location" tool on vote.utah.gov. The caucus location tool displays the date, time, and location of each participating political party's neighborhood caucus meeting by voting precinct.

SALT LAKE CITY - Driven by Governor Gary R. Herbert's recently announced clean air initiative, Utah Clean Air Partnership, or U-CAIR, the State of Utah is replacing 73 of its fleet vehicles with fuel-efficient hybrids this year.

Salt Lake City - Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert today appointed Woods Cross resident Todd Weiler to Utah Senate District 23. The appointment was recommended by the Davis County Republican Party delegates. Weiler will replace Sen. Dan Liljenquist who resigned to run for the U.S. Senate.

SALT LAKE CITY - Today in the Capitol Gold Room, Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert honored Utah Army National Guard Sergeant Guy Mellor, 24, winner of the Army's 2011 Best Warrior Competition Noncommissioned Officer of the Year. With Mellor's mother, Kelly Sue, National Guard officials and friends looking on, the Governor signed an official declaration, making it "Sergeant Guy Mellor Day in Utah." SALT LAKE CITY - The State of Utah has completed filing a series of Notices of Intent (NOI) to initiate litigation under the Quiet Title Act for 18,784 roads in 22 rural Utah counties.  The NOIs were filed with the U.S. Department of Interior in anticipation of filing suit in federal court, as required by law.

SALT LAKE CITY -Today Governor Gary R. Herbert announced the appointment of Curtis L. Garner to the Third District Court.  Garner will be filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Sandra N. Peuler.  Garner is currently serving as a member of the Utah Board of Pardons and Parole.

Today, Governor Gary R. Herbert unveiled his budget recommendations for FY 2013. The Governor’s budget recommendations focus on his four policy cornerstones: Education, Jobs, Energy, and Self-determination. A recovering economy and fiscally prudent management will allow the State to fund critical priorities, including growth in public education.

SALT LAKE CITY - The U.S. Census Bureau's Consolidated Federal Funds Report for Fiscal Year 2010 shows that, unlike many state economies that are increasingly reliant on federal government spending, Utah depends less per capita on federal dollars.

Herbert has authorized the lowering of the Flag of the United States of America and the Flag of the State of Utah on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, in recognition of the 70th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor.
