Salt Lake City, Utah -- Utah Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. has ordered the lowering of flags to half-staff on all Sate government properties on Tuesday, July 26, 2005, in honor of fallen solder, Sergeant First Class Ronald T. Wood.

Governor Huntsman sends his heartfelt condolences to the family of SFC Ronald T. Wood who died on July 16, 2005, when an improvised explosive devise detonated near his Humvee in Kirkuk, Iraq.

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH-Utah Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. recently appointed seven people to the Fifth Judicial District Nominating Commission. The Fifth Judicial District consists of Millard, Beaver, Iron and Washington counties.

Each individual has been appointed to serve a four year term on the Judicial Nominating Commission. By state law, the bipartisan commission includes lawyers and non-lawyers.
