What: Third and fourth grade students from Stewart Elementary School, a Chinese Immersion school in Centerville, will join Governor Gary R. and First Lady Jeanette Herbert to decorate a Christmas tree in the Governor's Mansion library. The students will perform a Christmas carol in Chinese for Governor and Mrs. Herbert.

Governor Gary R. Herbert will host his third annual Governor's Health Summit this week.  A significant portion of the Summit will focus on the state's pending decision of whether to expand its Medicaid program under the Affordable Care Act.

SALT LAKE CITY - Utah's economy continued to add jobs and maintain low unemployment through the month of August. The unemployment rate held steady for August at 4.7 percent, relatively unchanged from July's 4.6 percent. Though August's job growth of 2.7 percent rate is slower than the previous month, Utah continues to add jobs faster than the national average of 1.7 percent.

SALT LAKE CITY - Another sign of Utah's growing economy: More cash on hand. Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert today announced today the State of Utah ended Fiscal Year 2013 with a revenue surplus of $242 million, all in Education Funds (EF).
