SALT LAKE CITY - Governor Gary R. Herbert today named former Utah Jazz star Thurl Bailey to serve as his ambassador to the state's refugee community. In this role, Bailey will act as a liaison between the Governor and the more than 50,000 refugees who call Utah home.

Jobs in Utah Continue Steady Climb

SALT LAKE CITY - Job growth in Utah continued its steady climb during April and unemployment declined yet again, according to figures released today by the Utah Department of Workforce Services.
SALT LAKE CITY - Governor Gary R. Herbert has authorized the lowering of the Flag of the United States of America and the Flag of the State of Utah on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in recognition of Peace Officers Memorial Day.
SALT LAKE CITY - Today the Elections Office determined that two counts of the 12 allegations against Attorney General John Swallow will be sent to special counsel for review to determine whether violations occurred. The resolution of a third count may hinge on the determination made on these other two counts, and thus will also remain open.
